Strategy Chess Change Log
-1.3 (October 3, 2006):- This is a really nice update!
* Added different difficulty levels for Single Player Mode (easy, medium, hard, and brutal). The more difficult levels can actually put up a good fight!
* Improved the computer player's strategy for all difficulty levels
* Fixed a minor issue in Multi Player Mode, for users who have a long list of buddies on GoogleTalk. Now, there is a scroll feature so that you can go through your entire list of online friends, instead of just a select few.
* Fixed a minor UI issue, in which the blue border gets cut off when the resizing frame is used.
-1.2 (September 24, 2006): - I know I've made a lot of updates lately, this is mostly because I finally got a few days off.
* Removed most of the alerts, keeping these notifications to the gadget window
* Improved single player mode a bit, making the AI play smarter, and use some more variety in its setups.
* Improved graphics (it won't actually look better, I just made the images take less resources to make the game run better)
-1.1.2 (September 22, 2006):
* I'm starting to replace some of the alerts (those message boxes that pop up), so that any message just stays in the gadget, to be less bothersome.
-1.1.1 (Semptember 13, 2006):
*
Some code optimization has been implemented, to get the gadget run a
little more efficiently. The update doesn't affect gameplay in any
way, though.
* The CPU issues for the 1-Click Setup and Flip Board features have been resolved. They should both run faster as well.
-1.1 (September 11, 2006): Two new features are added.
*
The first is a "1-click Setup" button in the setup page. This allows
you to use pre-made piece setups, so that you don't have to manually
place every unit.
* The second is a "flip board" option in the
menu, which allows you to flip the board 180 degrees to see the game
from a different perspective. NOTE: this currently is CPU intensive, I
am working to improve on this.
-1.0 Beta 2 (August 14, 2006):
* I have corrected the CPU Issue, in which the game caused a jump in CPU usage after each move
